Heroic announced mid-week that Swedish cyber athlete Richard «Xizt» Landström will be joining the team as an analyst. In addition, he will take on coaching duties during PGL Major Stockholm.
In September, the now thirty-year-old cyber athlete announced his retirement from professional cyber sports after a twelve-year career that saw him play for fnatic, Dignitas, FaZe, and the legendary NIP squad that dominated the international scene in the early days of CS: GO.
Xizt has spent most of his career as an in-game leader, giving him a wealth of experience that he will now be able to utilize as he prepares for Heroic. Commenting on the cooperation with Xizt, Kasper «cadiaN» Möller said that so far both parties have no long-term plans: «For now we are looking at each other, seeing if there is a language barrier, if we have the same philosophy, style of play. Of course, we are cooperating with him, expecting to continue in the future, and we want to strengthen this relationship».
Heroic will play its first match at PGL Major Stockholm, which starts on October 26 against Chinese TYLOO, which is currently ranked 64th in the world rankings
