On Tuesday, Wisla Krakow won the ESL Polish Championship Autumn, thus guaranteeing themselves a place at the IEM Katowice 2022 Play-in tournament. Four teams made it to the final round of the ESL Polish Championship: two of the top-ranked teams from the season (HONORIS and Anonymo), and two more top-8 teams that qualified for the preliminary round (Wisla Krakow and PACT).
The ESL Polish Championship Autumn finals were held on LAN in single-elimination format. Wisla Krakow first defeated Anonymo and then faced HONORIS in the grand final, whom they beat on three cards. The two best players of the tournament were also members of Wisla Krakow. Krzyszek «Goofy» Gorski and Grzegorz «jedqr» Jedras topped the list of the highest scoring cyber athletes, with the latter showing an impressive 1.30 rating.
Thus, for Wisla Krakow, participation in IEM Katowice will start in February 2022. She will have to fight for entry into the main part of the tournament with such teams as TYLOO, Renegades and Extra Salt. Also, Wisla Krakow's result secured her a spot in the upcoming ESL Pro League Conference tournament. By now, its roster has been decided almost entirely with the exception of the last four slots.
