Vilality has decided to drop a sixth player

French team Vitality announced that they will end their partnership with one of their players named Nabil «Nivera» Benrlit. This decision was made after Valve updated tournament rules to include point penalties for teams that use player substitutions during RMR matches. Team management commented on the announcement as follows: «'Unfortunately, following the recent announcement, questions have arisen about the use of a six-man roster and we are unsure what the future holds for this format. So for the time being, we are back to the usual five-player roster structure».

At the same time, the French team has not ruled out that it will return to working with Nivera in the future if the rules for an expanded roster change. The player showed good potential during his involvement with Vitality, so his return in the future – is one possible scenario. In a statement, Vitality emphasized that it believes using a six-man roster is the best way to promote the professional CS: GO scene.

Nivera moved to Vitality from Heretics in October 2020. He was initially seen as a replacement player, but it was largely due to his actions that the team was able to perform well at the IEM Beijing-Haidian and BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
