On October 22, Valve released an update to Counter Strike: Global Offensive with content related to PGL Major 2021. Players will have access to participating team stickers, patches, and «Spectator Passes». The latter is available in two variants that differ in price. It gives access to smiley faces, graffiti, and in the more expensive version, additional tokens that will be needed to get souvenir items. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of cosmetic items with the symbols of the participants of the Major will be donated to the teams.
Holders of «Spectator Pass» will be able to use unlimited amounts of graffiti and smiles with team symbols, buy themed stickers and patches, and receive souvenir kits. In addition, name stickers will be added after the end of the majors for those teams that manage to make the playoffs.
In addition, several non-major-related fixes were added in the October 22 update. In particular, bugs related to the purchase of grenades have been fixed, as well as improved algorithms of bot behavior. They have new commands, resulting in more logical bot behavior when detecting other players or using grenades.
