On Saturday, both participants in the V4 Future Sports Festival Grand Final, currently taking place in Budapest, were decided. After the last playoff matches were played, they were two Russian teams – Gambit and Entropiq. On Sunday evening, they will play a best-of-5 match to determine who will be the winner of first place and €150,000 in prize money.
Entropiq knocked out Movistar Riders on their way to the final and then defeated Bulgaria's Fiend on two cards. On Mirage, which was chosen by Fiend himself, the fight was almost equal, and Entropiq left the map behind with only a relatively small advantage (16 - 12). At Ancient, the Russian team demonstrated that they can make their advantage over their opponent much more significant. Thanks to the successful actions of Alexey «Nickelback» Trofimov Entropiq left no chance to the opponent already in the first half of the card draw, ending it with a score of 16 – 5.
Gambit had a chance to play in the playoff matches against Enterprise (Slovakia) and BIG (Germany). Gambit is currently ranked third in the world rankings, while Entropiq – is twelfth. How significant the difference in level between the teams actually turns out to be, the final match will show.
