At the end of the week, fnatic announced that it was moving Alex «ALEX» McMikin and Valentin «poizon» Vasiliev to inactives. Also, Peppe «Peppzor» Borak will return to fnatic Rising. That leaves only two players – Freddie «KRIMZ» Johansson and William «mezii» Merriman on the team's current roster. In 2022, these two cyber athletes have been the highest performing players on the team, posting a 1.03 and 1.07 rating respectively.
Over the past three months, fnatic has reshuffled the roster more than once, and now plans to rebuild it around the two remaining players. Owen «smooya» Butterfield left the roaster at the end of February and was replaced first by Julian «regali» Hariau and then by poizon. On the eve of the qualifiers for the majors fnatic had to rebuild the roster again due to Ludwig «Brollan» Brolin moving to NIP, and Peppzor from fnatic Rising was added to the roster at the last minute.
Despite having little time to practice with the new roster, the team managed to make it to the regional qualifiers and also made it to the pre-playoffs at ESL Pro League Season 15. However, at the RMR tournament itself, fnatic never really got any meaningful results, finishing in 12th – 14th place and failing to qualify for the majors. She also failed to qualify for IEM Dallas. It is still unclear which players fnatic management plans to invite, but in any case, the team will need to be assembled in a short period of time, because in early June it should take part in the Pinnacle Cup Championship.
