Turkish team Eternal Fire won the local ESA Supremes Vestel Cup tournament without losing a single match. This was the debut performance of the team, whose lineup was announced recently – on August 13.
First Eternal Fire defeated Istanbul Wildcats and Sahangiller without conceding a single card, and then faced Sangal on their way to the top set of the tournament, lost on the first card, but eventually managed to regain the advantage. Eternal Fire and Sangal met again in the grand finals, with Eternal Fire holding a one-card advantage thanks to earlier victories. The players successfully capitalized on their opponent's defensive errors with a notable win over Sangal on Inferno and Dust2, with Eternal Fire leader Ismailkan «XANTARES» Dortkardes achieving a decisive advantage on the former with a rating of 2.03.
Winning the ESA Supremes Vestel Cup secured Eternal Fire a slot in TWR European Masters Fall 2021, where it will face the winners of other local tournaments, notably Entropiq Prague, NOM and AIRLYA. The event will take place in the first half of September, and a successful performance at the event will give the Turkish team a chance to qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
