Three players leave Evil Geniuses after losing at PGL Major Stockholm

Evil Geniuses has joined the ranks of teams for whom a disappointing performance at the majors was a reason to reevaluate the current roster. After EG failed to win a single match at the Legends stage of PGL Major Stockholm, its management decided to part ways with three players who were relatively new to the roster. Peter «stanislaw» Jarguz, Owen «oBo» Schlatter and Michal «MICHU» Muller will leave the lineup.

Evil Geniuses had a successful 2019 on the international stage and remained one of the top teams in North America in 2020. However, after Ethan «Ethan» Arnold's departure in January 2021, it never got off the ground. Despite the roster changes and the appointment of a new coach (Damian «daps» Steele), the team still showed poor results.

Evil Geniuses made it to PGL Stockholm, making it straight to the Legends stage thanks to their victories in North American RMR tournaments, where they faced teams such as 00Nation, TeamOne, Triumph and EXTREMUM. The tournament results for Evil Genius showed that it was significantly inferior to the teams from other regions that made it to this stage. Judging by the post published by EG about the departure of three players, she does not plan to play in official matches until the end of the year and promises «to return in the new year, stronger».
