Torbjorn «mithR» Nyborg, who has been serving as MOUZ coach, has announced that he is leaving the team to sign a contract with Apeks to develop its youth squad, the Apeks Rebels.
This is not the first time Nyborg has worked with Apeks: in early 2020, he spent some time helping one of its previous squads prepare for selection for one of its tournaments. Commenting on his decision, mithR said that he already had a good relationship with the organization, which was strengthened during the preparation for the Road to Rio Minor Closed Qualifier. According to him, working with the organization for a few weeks before the qualification phase, he had the opportunity to discuss plans and methods with the players, and both sides made sure that they shared common principles and views.
Also mithR mentioned that compared to working with MOUZ, he will miss the intense training schedule and the opportunity to go up against the best teams in the world. But he expects his approach to training to help guide young players from playing at local Scandinavian LAN events and open qualifiers to world-class competition.
