EXTREMEMUM coach has become a free agent

Oleksandr «kassad» Trifunovic, who served as EXTREMUM coach, announced the end of his contract. Thus, he was granted free agent status just before the winter break, when many eSports organizations are considering roster shifts.

Kassad joined EXTREMUM in early 2021 to work alongside the players he previously coached at Renegades and 100 Thieves. This time, however, he failed to achieve convincing results. In October, EXTREMUM sent all of its current roster to the reserves after a disappointing season that ended with it failing to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm.

Commenting on EXTREMUM's departure in a Twitter post, kassad said that he is still motivated to compete and hopes to get back on track after a disappointing year. Indeed, in 2019 his results were far more impressive – then the team he managed made the playoffs of the majors twice and rose to fifth in the world rankings.

Currently, kassad is engaged in analyzing matches and is also involved in conducting IEM Winter broadcasts, but it is unlikely that he will remain in this role for long. In his post, he mentions that he would welcome suggestions from various organizations. Earlier he noted that he may be interested not only in the position of head coach, but also in the role of team manager.
