The Danish Lyngby Vikings organization has announced that Martin «trace» Heldt will become its coach. He has previously worked with the team for a month and Lyngby Vikings performances under his guidance have been quite successful. The ratio of wins to losses on the various maps during this period is 30 : 15. The team also picked up victories at the Pelaajatcom Series Fall and the Funspark ULTI 2021 Series 3 European Regional Tournament, resulting in a rise to the top three of the world rankings. Among the opponents the Danes won – Entropiq, Endpoint and Copenhagen Flames.
Thus, trace returns to the professional scene after he finished playing for fnatic in 2013, and two previous attempts to continue his career as a player (in 2015 and 2017) were unsuccessful. Heldt commented on his work with Lyngby Vikings as follows: «I am thrilled to have had this opportunity. I feel very comfortable in the role of coach and it's something I want to do in the years to come. Our goal as a – team is to first establish ourselves in the top 30 and then steadily climb up the rankings. Competition is high and we will persevere».
