Earlier this week, cybersports organization TeamSpirit accused forZe of the latter of trying to poach players despite being bound by a contract. According to Team Spirit, their competitors approached several members of the team with a proposal to move directly, without coordinating these negotiations with the team management.
In response, ForZe commented on these allegations, explaining that the conflict was the result of a misunderstanding. Team management explained that they contacted one of the Team Spirit Academy players because they believed he was a free agent. However, after the latter informed him that he was bound by the terms of the contract and was not going to break them, they stopped communicating with him. Thus, forZe considers the incident to be over.
However, Team Spirit disagrees with this position. Team officials say that while forZe did apologize for the incident, a similar situation soon occurred again. Team Spirit reported that forZe approached not only one of the players, but also an assistant coach with suggestions. The second time it happened was after the team leaders had discussed the first incident. This is the reason for TeamSpirit's decision to make the conflict discussion public.
The teams do not say which TeamSpirit Academy player is in question.
