Tournament operator StarLadder has created a new league called Parimatch League CS:GO . The organizers' partner was the bookmaker Parimatch. The league's inaugural season is expected to take place in the second half of April – early May. Sixteen teams from Europe and CIS countries will take part in the competition. The total prize pool will be $100, ,000. All matches will be held online.
Already in early April, open regional qualifying rounds are planned, based on the results of which four teams will be selected – two from each region. Twelve more competitors will make it to the tournament by invitation. This will be followed by the group stage, which will conclude on April 26. On May 1-3, the final part of the tournament should be held, the results of which will determine the winner.
It is known that Virtus.pro, forZe and Team Spirit have already been invited to the tournament. We should expect the rest of the list of participants to be announced soon.
Stepan Shulga, head of the cybersport department at Parimatch, said that the tournament will be a great opportunity for newcomers who have passed the selection process to prove themselves in matches against recognized leaders. Egor Kolomiets, StarLadder Sports Director, added that after the success of StarLadder Major Belrin, he had plans to hold a CS:GO tournament with regional leagues - this is how the Parimatch League was conceived. The organizers expect that the matches will gather a large audience of spectators from the CIS and Europe.
