The official date of the sequel's development can be considered 2009, when Valve hired «the father» of the DotA mod for Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne under the nickname IceFrog and applied for trademark registration. The starting point should be considered October 13, 2010, when the work on the transfer of the original characters began officially. The concept of confrontation was not changed:

How many characters have been added to Dota since release? This is where it all depends on when to start the character report. The «Gold» period lasted from July 2013 through February 2015, and the following units were added to the roster of fighters:
