Serbian eSports organization 4Glory has announced that it has signed three players who previously played for Onyx. Now the team consisting of Alexa «Impulse» Stankic, Dimitrij «DiMKE» Veljkovic and Filip «fajkus» Konatarevic intends to fight for the top-30 of the world ranking.
ONYX decided not to renew contracts with the current roster after their performance at the V4 Future Sports Festival in Budapest. The team started the tournament with a win over SINNERS, but never made it past the play-in stage, suffering two losses. 4glory decided to take this opportunity to strengthen its roster with two local players (Impulse and DiMKE) and fajkus as a coach.
Commenting to HLTV on the move to 4glory, Impulse emphasized that he felt it was more promising to play on a team made up of local players rather than an international roster: «If international players do not perform at the highest level, the team fails because of communication problems, cultural differences and disagreements». He noted that now they have a chance to create perhaps the best Serbian project in CS: GO. He expects the team to be able to produce results that are meaningful at the international level as well, but realizes that it will not be an easy task.
