Kazakh cybersports player Rustam «5TRYK#R» Alimkulov made accusations of match-fixing against several prominent Kazakh players. The most famous episode in 5TRYK#R's career was working with forZe as a coach in 2017-2019. The allegations voiced by the player relate to an earlier period when he played for Kazakh PARTY. He claims that in late 2015, this team repeatedly tried to organize contract matches while participating in the closed qualifying stage of the StarLadder Regional Minor Championship CIS.
According to 5TRYK#R, it was not about winning or losing the match, but about getting a specific result on some aspect of the game, on which bookmakers offered to bet. For example, in one of the episodes, PARTY players decided to lose the first pistol round in each of the three group stage matches, while betting on such an outcome.
As proof, 5TRYK#R posted several videos on his YouTube channel, as well as screenshots of correspondence and recordings of conversations in TeamSpeak. He explains that he decided to publish the material now because he had recently been diagnosed with a serious illness and «decided to ease his conscience by telling the whole truth about the PARTY team».
Abay «HObbit» Hasenov, who also played for PARTY at the time, had already spoken out about Alimkulov's statement, rejecting any announcements. He said he was willing to assist ESIC in the investigation.
