A former Riot Games developer, who was previously involved in the creation of the anti-chit for Valorant, has offered his help in solving the problem with cheaters in CS: GO.
Valve developer John McDonald recently posted a tweet in which he mentioned that most major multiplayer games suffer from cheater attacks, but the CS: GO team is constantly working to solve the problem. He noted that the fight against cheating will still require a lot of time and resources, but it is inevitable for any fairly massive game.
In response to this post, Nemanja Mulasmajic, former anti-chip developer at Riot Games, wrote that he is ready to help Valve solve the problem with cheaters. «I'm sure my company can be of great help to you in the fight against cheaters in CSGO» – he said in his tweet and suggested McDonald send him a private message to discuss the details.
It remains to be seen if any practical cooperation will follow, but Counter Strike fans around the world have been dealing with an increasing number of cheaters lately, and are hoping Valve can fix the problems with its anti-cheat system as soon as possible. Although the quality of anti-chit is difficult to assess objectively, there is a common perception among players that the risk of encountering dishonest opponents is much lower in Valorant.
