Pita to become head coach of Copenhagen Flames

Danish cybersports organization Copenhagen Flames announced the signing of Farukh «pita» Pita, who will take over as the squad's lead coach for CS: GO. Pita was brought in for the position after Daniel «djL» Naransik, who previously held the position, left the team in July.

During his career, pita has managed to play for Scandinavian teams and has worked as a coach since 2014. In particular, under his leadership, NIP achieved one of the biggest wins in its history, taking first place at ESL One Cologne 2014. Eight months later he moved to CLG and in 2018 he returned to NIP, with whom he worked with until the end of 2019. After that, he was without a team for a long time, and at the end of 2020, in addition, he received a ban from ESIC for five and a half months due to the use of «coaching bug». That penalty has by now expired.

Copenhagen Flames co-manager Daniel Worborg commented on Pita's contract as follows: «'At our level it's very difficult to find coaches who can help move on. Farukh has a lot of experience and after just a few days we can already see how he has a positive impact on our team». Worborg also said he did not consider the case of «coaching bug»to be a problem because Pita has demonstrated the ability to recognize and correct his mistakes and is therefore trustworthy.
