Flashpoint 3 organizers have announced that teams NIP and Anonymo will have the opportunity to replay the final part of their match, namely the Mirage map draw. This decision was made after NIP filed a request, reporting that during the match, which took place last Friday and ended with the victory of the Polish team, they constantly experienced problems with the quality of connection. It was later revealed that the cause of the packet loss was the server configuration, and therefore NIP was not technically able to fix the problem.
The Flashpoint organizers discussed possible solutions with the Professional Players Association and both affected teams, and offered Anonymo a choice between replaying the entire match or just the deciding map.
At the same time, the organizers decided to postpone the replay of the final map until Tuesday evening so that the teams could prepare and their fans – could rest after an episode that caused a lot of controversy and conflict. In particular, Anonymo representatives claimed that the Swedish team used the resources available to them to put pressure on the organizers to replay the match. NIP, in turn, accused the Polish players of making baseless allegations and provoking a conflict.
The tournament organizers apologized to the teams, players and the community for not immediately providing full information about the situation and taking several days to work out a satisfactory solution.
