SKADE, the cybersports organization that took first place in the IronWar Grand Prix tournament four months ago, has accused its organizers of cheating. The competition was held in late summer 2021 in an online format, and the prize pool was $30,000. In the final SKADE defeated AGO, for which according to the rules of the tournament she was entitled to a payment of 12,5 thousand, which, however, was never transferred. In a statement published on its website, SKADE claims that shortly after the event ended, its organizers stopped responding to messages and avoided contacts in Discord.
Other participants of the IronWar Grand Prix also spoke out against the organizers of the tournament. In particular, the coach of Nemiga Gaming said that his team never received the payment and noted that from the beginning he suspected the organizers of dishonesty. TeamSingularity player Denis «seized» Kostin, on the other hand, did not suspect cheating at first, as he considered the existence of a tournament page on HLTV.org a sufficient basis for trust. According to him, no such problems had appeared before with the tournaments admitted to HLTV.
The tournament was organized by the Belarusian company GS «E-sports Gaming». She managed to run another event called IronWar Series #1, and its participants went without payouts as well.
