PGL Major Stockholm schedule published

The organizers of the PGL Major Stockholm tournament have released the final schedule for the event. The competition, with an impressive prize pool totaling $2,000,000, will run from October 26 to November 7, with each stage taking four days to complete. The first two rounds, dubbed Challengers and Legends, will be held at Annexet without spectators present. The final round, titled Champions, will be held at the Avicii Arena. The winner of the major will be determined in a single elimination playoff.

Twenty-four teams will compete for the main prize. Sixteen of them will start their journey to the finals with the Challengers and Legends stages, which are played under the Swiss system. At the same time, the first matches will be played in a best-of-1 format, and by the end of the stage the teams will switch to best-of-3. The schedule is based on Valve's intentions to reduce the impact of the majors on the rest of the event calendar and make the schedule more convenient for players.

The Challengers stage will feature 8 teams from Europe, 3 – from the CIS, and 2 – from North America, as well as one each from South America, Oceania, and China. The Legends stage lineup included 3 teams from North America, 3 from Europe, and 2 from the CIS.
