Participants of the group stage of PGL Major Europe have been determined

The final list of 32 participants of the group stage of PGL Major is known. Eight of them will eventually earn spots at PGL Major Antwerp. The final teams on this list were determined by the fourth qualifier, with GamerLegion, fnatic, Eternal Fire, Sangal, and Anonymo leading the way. Teams such as Apeks and SPADE were left without a chance to qualify for the upcoming major.

The 32 teams were divided into groups based on how well they performed in the qualifiers and at the previous major. At first glance, the group «A», in which the champions of the Stockholm tournament Natus Vincere are placed, clearly looks more intense. It includes ten teams from the top 20 of the world ranking, while in the group «B» there are only seven participants from the top 20, and the leader among them is G2.

The group stages will be held in LAN format in Bucharest (Romania) in the second half of April. They will be held in a Swiss format. From «A» group, four teams in the Legends category, two as Challengers and four – Contenders will advance to the majors. Among the leaders of the «B» group, places will be distributed slightly differently: the top 3 teams of the group will qualify for the Legends stage, four more will receive Challengers status and one – Contender.
