With the group stage complete, the final playoff lineup for ESL Pro League Season 15 has been revealed. Interestingly, in doing so, the teams ranked in the top 3 of the world rankings ended up in the same part of the grid. These are Natus Vincere, FaZe and Gambit, due to sanctions restrictions, playing under the name Players.
The most successful participant of the group stage was Natus Vincere, which did not suffer a single defeat and took the first place in Group D. The second position was occupied by Heroic, which lost in the final match, and Astralis managed to get to the third place.
The group stage brought a few surprises. Among the most notable. – Brazil's FURIA topped Group B and Movistar Riders won Group C, while the higher ranked G2 and Vitality failed to qualify for the next stage.
The playoff grid is structured in such a way that the first and second placed teams in the same group cannot face each other before the grand final, while the participants from the first and third places in the same group – before the semi-finals. Thus, the most notable match of the first part of the playoffs will be the confrontation between FaZe and Gambit, while Natus Vincere goes straight to the quarterfinals, where it will meet the winner of this pairing.
