The final list of participants of PGL Major Stockholm has been determined

The full list of 24 teams that will travel to Sweden to participate in PGL Major Stockholm has been revealed. The team that took the last vacant spot was Copenhagen Flames from Denmark, who finished IEM Fall Europe in seventh place.

The selection process for the first major in two years took place in six regions and began more than a year and a half ago with the first series of RMR tournaments. Now everything is ready for the final stage – the return of the largest and most prestigious competition in the world of CS: GO. PGL Major Stockholm will be the first event in this category since StarLadder Major over two years ago, and the first major event since the start of the pandemic to be held in front of a large audience.

The twenty-four competitors will include the leaders of the professional scene, including teams at the top of the world rankings – such as Natus Vincere, Gambit, Vitality and G2. OG, Complexity and fnatic were among the notable teams that failed to qualify.

The competition will begin on October 26 with the Challengers stage, in which teams that have been awarded Contender or Challenger status, depending on their position in the RMR rankings table, will compete in a four-day Swiss system for eight spots in the next stage. In the next stage, dubbed Legends, they will face off against eight more teams who received a direct invitation. This will determine the eight participants in the playoffs, which will be held at Avicii Arena in front of 10,000 spectators.
