Most of the qualifiers for the IEM Dallas tournament, to be held in Texas in late May, have been completed. The European qualifying round is to be played soon, while the participants from Oceania, North and South America have already been determined.
According to the results of the qualifying games for Oceania, Looking for Org from Australia secured a place in the competition by defeating VERTEX and ORDER. Many of the matches in the South American stage replicated the confrontation between MIBR, Imperial and 9z that could be seen recently in the RMR tournament. 9z started off with a win, but Imperial, who initially lost, managed to play well in the lower net and then defeated MIBR.
The North American qualifiers also featured some of the most notable teams in the region, as none of them received a direct invitation to the tournament. Liquid did not lose a single match, and the second team to qualify was Complexity, which needed two wins over GODSENT to qualify.
Thus, fourteen participants of IEM Dallas were determined. Among the teams that received a direct invitation – ENCE, Natus Vincere, FURIA and FaZe and others. They have now been joined by four more teams based on the results of the qualifying tournaments.
