52 teams that will participate in the selection for PGL Major Antwerp have been determined

By the beginning of the week, the final list of 52 teams that will travel to Bucharest in April to compete in the final qualifying stage before PGL Major Antwerp has been determined. They will compete for 24 slots at the tournament, of which 16 will go to teams from Europe and CIS, 6 – North and South America and another 2 – to teams from Asia and Oceania.

The European part of the list includes 13 teams that finished in the top 16 at the previous major. The rest were determined by the results of five qualification rounds – four for Europe and the CIS and one more for the Russian Far East. Among the most notable teams that failed to qualify – K23, SKADE, Wisla Krakow and ECSTATIC. The qualifying tournament for Europe will be held from April 17 to 24. The teams that will participate are divided into two groups of 16 teams each. There are quite a few top-20 representatives, including Natus Vincere, Heroic, G2, Gambit and Virtus.pro.

Qualifiers for the Americas will take place on April 11 – April 14. Only Brazil's FURIA could guarantee themselves a spot on the list by reaching the top-16 at PGL Major Stockholm. The remaining 15 competitors were determined through four qualifying tournaments. Most of the teams expected to do so qualified, but GODSENT and Sharks were unlucky.

Finally, the Asian leg of the qualifier will be held on April 15 – April 16. Four teams will participate – Chinese TYLOO and Lynn Vision, Australian Regenades and Mongolian IHC.
