Organizers of the Pinnacle Winter Series II tournament, which will be held in mid-February, have announced the roster. The layout of the event remains the same as the previous Pinnacle Winter Series season. 16 teams will take part in regional matches «best-of-3» under the Swiss system, after which the top eight will advance to the main stage. There, they will compete under the same Swiss system against eight other directly invited teams to determine the playoffs.
Spirit, 00Nation and MAD Lions were among the organizations that received regional invites, all of which will debut with new squads. In addition, a lot of spectator expectations are related to K23, which won last season and received an invitation straight to the main stage. Another notable team is – Apeks, who finished Pinnacle Winter Series I in second place and have been successful with their current roster on numerous occasions.
The names of the other four teams that will start the tournament right from the playoffs will be announced at a later date. The winner of the Pinnacle Winter Series II will earn a spot in the LAN Sweet LAN 2022 event, as well as a significant portion of the $68,000 prize pool.
