The organizer of StarLadder tournaments told about how the next regional competitions for CIS will be held. The $100,000 StarLadder CIS RMR tournament will begin at the end of May, with the final round taking place at the end of June – early July.
Teams will be able to qualify for the main part of the competition through two open qualification rounds – one of which will take place on June 5 – 7 and the second – 12 – 14. They will then compete for the right to go further with four teams who have received direct invitations as part of a closed selection process. Four more teams will be invited straight into the main stage. Thus, the participants of the final part of StarLadder CIS RMR will be ten teams from the CIS. They will be divided into two groups, with two teams in each group advancing to the playoffs. The group stage will begin on June 27, and on July 2 – July 4, playoff matches will be played and the winner will be determined. In addition to cash prizes, the teams that take the leading places will receive ranking points.
Both qualifying matches and the main stage will be held online. StarLadder will soon announce the lists of invited participants and publish more details about the tournament schedule and prize pool distribution.
