The organizers of the Malta Vibes Knockout Series tournament have announced the roster for the fourth season. It included a total of forty teams. Thirty-two of them will start from the first round of the tournament. The top eight competitors will advance to the next stage, where they will meet eight more opponents selected straight into it. All matches will be played in best-of-3 format.
The event prize pool is $50,000, and its final distribution will depend on how far each team advances in the tournament. For those who make it past the first round, the reward will be $1,000, advancing to the quarterfinals will add another $2,000 to that amount, and so on. In the grand finals, teams will compete for $16,000 in prize money.
As in previous seasons of the tournament, the list of teams that made it to the Malta Vibes Knockout Series is very diverse: there are both youth teams and veterans of the cybersports scene. Notable participants in the first round of – include Slovakian Enterprise, who recently had a successful performance at the V4 Future Sports Festival, Turkish Eternal Fire and MOUZ NXT youth squad, who recently won the WePlay Academy. Teams such as Copenhagen Flames, Dignitas and MAD Lions were selected straight into the second round.
