The organizers of the ESL Pro League Season 14 tournament have announced the final lineup of teams that have been selected for the main part of the competition. A total of 24 teams will get into the tournament – to the number of teams selected earlier, added seven more, who received an invitation due to their high position in ESL World Ranking.
Half of the list is made up of twelve partner teams, which invariably get into the number of participants. They include recognized leaders such as Natus Vincere, Astralis, fnatic and others. Five more qualified for the main part of the tournament thanks to wins in ESEA Premier in their respective regions – two teams from Europe, two from North America and one from Australia and New Zealand.
Finally, seven more teams will qualify for ESL Pro League Season 14 thanks to their ranking points. Among them were Gambit, four more participants from the top ten ESL rankings, as well as Team Spirit and OG, who currently occupy the thirteenth and fourteenth places.
ESL Pro League Season 14 tournament, according to the original plans of the organizers, was to be held in Malta in LAN-format, but due to the worsening epidemic situation will be held online. The first matches will be played on August 16.
