The Swedish NIP team managed to climb into the top 3 of the world rankings for the first time since December 2016. After a brilliant performance at the European stage of the IEM Fall NIP pushed Vitality out of third place. This is the first time in nearly five years that the organization has risen to such a high position in the rankings. Last time out, she found herself in the third spot of the top after winning at IEM Oakland in 2016.
This was largely due to a streak of eleven consecutive successful matches, culminating in a win over ENCE for the title at IEM Fall EU. Leading at this tournament was the first major achievement for NIP since they won the FACEIT Europe Minor in 2018. During the current winning streak, the Swedish team managed to strengthen its position in the rankings by beating, among others, its closest rivals – G2 and Vitality.
NIP's next appearance will be on October 20, when it will take part in the Battle of Betway event, where its opponents will include teams such as G2 and BIG. The players will then focus on preparing for PGL Major Stockholm. NIP's participation in the majors will start from the second round as it has received an invitation to the Legends group.
