German team BIG announced the signing of Niklas «gade» Gade. The twenty-six-year-old cyber athlete will appear in the team's starting lineup for ESL Pro League Season 14. There are currently six players on the roster, and BIG is expected to announce the final roster shortly.
Niklas has been without a team for less than a month: before that he played for HYENAS, which brought together former players from several other Danish teams, including North and Heroic, but in early July it announced that it would cease operations following the departure of Markus «Kjaerbye» Kjaerbye.
In a press release regarding the move to BIG gade noted that the offer from this team had him really excited: «After being unsure for some time what the future holds, I am incredibly happy to know that this is now my new home. I hope and believe I can make my own contribution to finally take this project to the next level».
BIG's recent results can be called average, especially when compared to the success it had in mid-2020, when it scored three major tournament wins in two months. BIG manager Daniel Finkler expects gade's experience and leadership skills to play an important role in the team's development.
