Natus Vincere became the second team to secure a spot in the PGL Major Stockholm playoffs. With a 2 - 0 win over NIP, she made it three wins on the Legends stage, which guarantees her a place in the next stage of the tournament. The first team to qualify for the Champions stage was G2, who also won three matches in a row.
Despite the fact that NAVI and NIP currently occupy the top two positions in the world ranking, the Swedish team was unable to do anything against their CIS competitors, losing on both Nuke and Overpass. On the first map, NAVI managed to gain an immediate seven-round advantage and, although NIP were then able to equalize for a while, after changing sides Natus Vincere again showed that they owned the situation, ending the map with a score of 16 – 9. Similarly, events developed on Overpass. The best player of the match was Valery «B1T» Vakhovsky, who recently joined the NAVI main roster, and had the honor of finishing the card draw by bringing the team the last point in the match.
Thus, two participants of the PGL Major Stockholm playoffs have already been decided, and which of the contenders will get the remaining six slots will become clear in the near future.
