Natus Vincere picked up two wins in the Legends stage at PGL Major Antwerp. The opening match of the tournament for the CIS team was a confrontation with G2, which is currently ranked sixth in the world ranking. In the Mirage card draw, the teams showed an almost early level: NAVI managed to win only in overtime, as a result of which the match ended with the score 19 – 17.
In an interview after this match Kirill «Boomb14» Mikhailov noted that the opponents turned out to be stronger than they expected. In addition, G2 had some advantage because they had already played a few matches during the tournament and had time to practice their interactions, while for NAVI it was the first match after the bootcamp. Nevertheless, the team was able to win despite the fact that the second half of the game was difficult.
In the afternoon, Natus Vincere had another win – in the match against German BIG. The team felt much more confident in this game, ending the match at Ancient with a score of 16 – 8. If in the first rounds the teams were on par, then after the change of sides the advantage of Natus Vincere became much more noticeable, and BIG could not practically oppose it. Thus, the leading positions are still occupied by Natus Vincere, Copenhagen Flames and Spirit with two wins each.
