With the CS: GO update released on September 22, the game will launch a new operation called Riptide (in Russian translation it was named «Predatory Waters»). It will feature five new maps, a redesigned mission system, and game mode customization.
With this update, Valve has expanded the ability to run the game in private matchmaking mode. In particular, members of Steam groups will be able to organize matches on Valve's servers that are available only to those who are members of the group. Thanks to the new options, it is easier for players to organize matches with friends in «premier».
In addition, it will be possible to choose the time of the game: in addition to the standard matches up to 16 wins, there will be available games with competitive rules up to 9 wins, which take a little more than twenty minutes. Along with the usual rules, players will be able to try out several versions of the «all-versus-all mode» with individual or team scoring.
Stars earned during the operation can be spent on a variety of rewards – agent skins, four new weapon collections, two sets of stickers and patches. There is also a new weapon case in the game. In it you can find 17 skins created by the community, as well as rare knives with coloring «gamma waves».
