Matthias «MSL» Lauridsen, former in-game leader of North, has announced that he has assembled a new roster and is now looking for cybersports organizations willing to partner with the up-and-coming team. While he has not yet announced exactly who will be a part of it, he did note that there are talented and experienced players among the participants – . He also mentioned in a comment for HLTV that they are now aiming to compete at the top 20 level.
MSL decided to start his own project after not participating in any team for a significant part of the year. He stopped playing for North at the end of 2020 when its management decided to build the squad by developing young players, and two months after that the organization ceased operations.
Lauridsen said he had received several offers in the intervening months, but the squads he was invited to were not strong enough. So he decided that putting together his own team – was a more promising idea, since what matters to him is first and foremost the ability to achieve high results.
In addition, this news means that speculations about MSL's possible move to fnatic turned out to be wrong. The version that the player is negotiating with this team has been heard several times in recent months.
