Movistar Riders became the first Spanish team to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 15. The lineup, which includes Alejandro «alex» Masanet and four other promising local eSports players, recently marked another notable achievement by becoming the first team from Spain to qualify for the majors. Movistar Riders now continue to move forward with a two-round victory over Brazil's GODSENT with convincing wins on Overpass and Nuke. Nevertheless, the chance to qualify for the ESL Pro League remains for GODSENT. In order to do so, she will need to perform well in the lower grid matches of the tournament, the last of which will be held on Sunday.
GODSENT chose the Overpass map for the ESL Pro League qualifier, knowing that Movistar Riders had been having problems with it recently, losing not only to strong opponents such as Heroic and Enterprise, but also to American RBG. Nevertheless, after losing a few rounds in the beginning, the Spaniards managed to bounce back and then gain the advantage. The events at Nuke were similar: at first the Brazilian team was leading in the score, but then thanks to the successful actions of alex and mopoz Movistar Riders achieved the score 16 – 9, securing their exit to the ESL Pro League.
