On Sunday, US cybersports organization Liquid announced that it is extending the contract of Keith «NAF» Markowitz through 2024. Thus, it put an end to the recently discussed rumors that the Canadian cyber athlete may leave the team, the management of which plans to revise the roster by the beginning of next year.
Earlier sources claimed that the only player who will move from the previous roster to the new one will be Jonathan «EliGE» Jablonowski, but this version turned out to be wrong: the first whose further cooperation with the team was officially confirmed was NAF. He recently had a good showing at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, performing with a final rating of 1.15. Over the past three years with Liquid, NAF has participated in numerous international tournaments, twice won the MVP title, and for 18 weeks his team was at the top of the world rankings.
Who else will join the Liquid roster for 2022 remains unclear. In an interview recently given to HLTV, one of its players Jake «Stewie2K» noted that the team is in for some big changes and compared its current roster to «the living dead». Considering that both Stewie2K and FalleN were reported by sources in November to be looking to partner with other teams, Liquid is indeed facing major changes. What its new lineup will be, however, can only be guessed at for now.
