k0nfig will miss ESL Pro League Season 14 due to a wrist injury

Complexity announced on Tuesday that Christian «k0nfig» Wieneke will not be competing in ESL Pro League Season 14 as the player has suffered a wrist injury. Christian published several posts on Twitter explaining that he has a displaced fracture and will be undergoing surgery in the coming days. He will have to wear a cast for at least a month after it, and then it will take some time to train and recover. The place of k0nfig in the team will be temporarily taken by Niels Christian «NaToSaphix» Sillasen. Earlier, the cyber athlete was already announced as a substitute player in Complexity.

Thus, there is a possibility that k0nfig will miss not only ESL Pro League, but also the next championship. Since his absence could last more than a month, it could also affect the team's preparation for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, where they are scheduled to play in mid-September.

Complexity will kick off their EPL schedule on Saturday, August 21 with a game against forZe. In addition, Patrik «es3tag» Hansen, who transferred from Cloud9 in July, will play for the team for the first time in the same match.   The team expects that despite the absence of k0nfig, they will manage to take one of the top three spots in the group to qualify for the playoffs.
