IGC to sue 9z over meyern transfer fee

Immortals Gaming Club, which includes the MIBR team, has filed a lawsuit against 9z. According to the news portal Dexerto, the IGC accuses the Argentine organization of failing to transfer the agreed amount for the transfer of Ignacio «meyern» Meyer.

Documents show that the parties initially agreed that meyern's transfer to 9z would cost the latter $35,000. Immortals Gaming Club claims that it never received the amount, despite 9z representatives repeatedly claiming that the payment would be made soon.

The 19-year-old cyber athlete, whose transfer caused the conflict, played for 9z from June to December 2020, joining the team after six months with MIBR. He was placed on inactivation at the end of 2020 and has been looking for other options. Meyern recently joined Furious on a rental basis. His association with the team is due to last until December 31, 2021.

It is reported that the IGC has repeatedly tried to settle the issue without taking the matter to court, but 9z has consistently delayed responding to inquiries and avoided discussing the payment. IGC management emphasizes that the purpose of the lawsuit – is now not only to get the amount due, but also to punish 9z for unprofessional conduct. If the court takes the ICG's side, their opponents could face sanctions from ESIC – , the organization that monitors fair play rules in cybersports.
