Heroic has filed formal charges against Hunden

Team Heroic's management announced that they are pressing formal charges against former coach Nicolai «HUNDEN» Petersen because they believe he shared important information about the team's strategy with one of their principle rivals on the eve of IEM Cologne. Heroic representatives report that a formal trial has already begun after two Danish courts «independently found sufficient grounds for the collection of evidence, which is currently being performed». This probably also explains why HUNDEN did not appear in the lineup at the last major tournament.

In connection with these allegations, tournament organizer ESL conducted its own investigation to find out whether this situation could have affected the teams' performances at IEM Cologne. Based on the results, it was concluded that although HUNDEN had indeed sent access rights to the team strategy folder to a third party, the recipient had not used them. Therefore, the principles of fair play were not violated during the tournament.

ESIC also commented on the investigation. The organization released a statement where it confirmed that it is now investigating allegations against HUNDEN, who «committed acts that potentially violated the fair play principles established by the ESIC Integrity Program». ESIC is currently gathering information and evidence that will allow a final decision to be made.
