Swedish eSports organization fnatic has announced the removal of Jack «Jackinho» Strom Mattson from the active roster after the team failed to qualify for the majors. The player was in the starting lineup for 10 months after he was brought in as a replacement for Robin «flusha» Rönnqvist at the beginning of the year.
From the very beginning, Jackinho's participation in fnatic matches was not always successful. He joined the team when it was going through a difficult period, and he did not succeed in showing himself brightly right away. The player was not immediately given the role of sniper, as the rest of the party needed time to adjust to the change. He did take up the position a little later, but in the end he never managed to achieve sustainable results.
Despite the fact that shortly after joining fnatic, the team took second place at cs_summit 7, Jackinho's results were less impressive later on. At the IEM Katowice play-in and then at ESL Pro League Season 13, he posted a rating below 0.90. He managed to improve his performance a bit and stayed in the team after a new roster was formed with British players.
However, after fnatic failed to qualify for the majors without winning a single match at the IEM Fall, the team management decided to adjust the roster again – , this time with a new sniper. Owen «smooya» Butterfield will temporarily take that position, while fnatic will meanwhile look for a permanent player to replace Jackinho.
