Russian team 1WIN announced the signing of Egor «flamie» Vasiliev. The cyber athlete, now 24 years old, hasn't played in a major tournament since November. After leaving Natus Vincere's main roster, he only appeared in NAVI Junior at the WePlay Academy Season 2 finals.
This news comes four days after 1WIN sent two players – Vadim «Polt» Tsirov and Danil «Ravenlot» Bikvaidze to the reserves, thus beginning to overhaul its roster after a disappointing performance in the ESEA Premier Europe Season 39 playoffs.
Flamie played for Natus Vincere for about six years, having joined in early 2015. Under his watch, NAVI won nearly a half dozen trophies and reached the major finals three times. However, in 2021 he was first temporarily and then permanently replaced by Valery «b1t» Vakhovsky.
1WIN manager Artem «mouseTT» Karyagin commented on the changes in the lineup, noting that he was glad to have flamie in the team. He called Egor a world-class player who will be able to bring to 1WIN both his high level of individual play and the tremendous experience gained during his participation in the competition.
Thus, 1WIN is left to find one more player before the European leg of ESL Challenger League Season 40.
