The Russian Computer Sports Federation has issued a new statement regarding claims to the organization of the EPIC League CIS tournament. Despite the fact that a week has already passed since the end of the competition, this topic is still the subject of heated discussions in the professional community. Many note that there were many organizational problems during the tournament, and charges of cheating were brought against the Ukrainian team Akuma, which eventually took third place. There are even proposals to replay all or part of the matches, or simply to disregard the results of this tournament when qualifying for the majors.
Representatives of the HLTV portal have asked the Computer Sports Federation to comment on an open letter published by fifteen CIS teams calling for a more thorough investigation into allegations of cheating. FCC officials responded that there were indeed problems in the organization of the tournament, but there were no official complaints about the matches, and the teams chose to immediately attract media attention instead of resolving the issues with the organizers. The FCC believes that the current situation will not affect the CIS cybersports scene and will not be an obstacle to future competitions.
