Earlier this week, Turkish Twitter account @Esporokolik, dedicated to local cybersports news, citing its own sources, reported that soccer club «Galatasaray» may soon sign a CS: GO squad. For «Galatasaray» this is not the first cybersport initiative: its Galatasaray Esports division currently includes lineups for League of Legends and FIFA.
Some of the most prominent players on the world stage who could join it include – Ismailkan «XANTARES» Durtkardes and Ozgur «woxic» Eker. Until the beginning of August, XANTARES was listed as German BIG, with which it had been collaborating for almost three years. In recent times, he has often found himself in the reserves and was eventually put on transfer a week and a half ago. Woxic has remained a free agent since January, when he left Cloud9. In recent weeks, rumors have already been voiced that XANTARES and woxic are assembling a roster of Turkish players and are looking for opportunities to cooperate with local cybersports organizations.
Another member of – Bugry «Calyx» Arkın also has experience on the international scene. He has changed teams over the past two years, most recently playing for Team Envy and for GORILLAZ. The youngest player on the team will be Yasin «xfl0ud» Koc, who is now eighteen years old. Also joining the lineup will be Omer «imoRR» Karatash, who previously played for Sangal Esports and has been successful in several tournaments.
