FaZe made it to the IEM Katowice Grand Final, defeating Gambit

In the IEM Katowice semifinal match, FaZe defeated Heroic on two maps. The team managed to gain a significant advantage despite having to replace one of the main squad players due to a positive test for coronavirus. Before that, FaZe also defeated Gambit in two rounds in the quarterfinals.

The first map of the match was Inferno, and on it FaZe seized the advantage from the very beginning, leaving almost no opportunity for the opponents to defend and achieving the advantage 10 – 2. Later the Danish team managed to level the game, but the map remained for FaZe with the final score 16 – 11. On the second map (Nuke) FaZe's advantage was unshakable and its draw ended even faster with the score 16 – 5.

Thus, Finn «karrigan» Andersen's team will face G2 in the grand final in a best-of-5 match on Sunday evening. Karrigan commented on FaZe's achievements at the tournament as follows: «This is the third time we are in the final in Katowice and I can't wait to play in front of the audience… tomorrow we will play against NiKo and one of us will win this trophy and I'm happy because we have been in the final twice with NiKo. I hope that tomorrow we can etch our name in the history of the tournament».
