Canadian eSports player Justin «FaNg» Coakley has been announced as the top player of the FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final tournament. He managed to win this title despite the fact that the team he plays for – Extra Salt – was defeated in the final match, losing to German BIG.
The 18-year-old FaNg made a significant contribution to his team's performance at this competition, and it was largely thanks to him that they managed to defeat BIG, Dignitas and forZe in the matches of the previous stages. Extra Salt played a total of twelve maps at FunSpark, and on all of them Justin managed to show impressive stats. Seven times he came out victorious from bouts where he was left alone against the opposing team, and he was able to do it four times in the final match against BIG.
This MVP title was the first in the young cyber athlete's career. On Twitter, he had the following to say about the award: «I never imagined I would be playing against teams that are among the best in the world, let alone winning the MVP title at a championship. Of course, I would have liked us to remain winners, but now I will strive to work even harder to reach new heights».
