EXTREMEMUM has decided to dissolve its current lineup

On Sunday, Team EXTREMUM announced the dissolution of its current roster, which included players from Australia, New Zealand, Norway and Indonesia. A major factor in this decision was the fact that she failed to make it to the PGL Major, losing to Evil Geniuses. EXTREMUM released a statement noting that the last week has been particularly difficult for the team. Since qualifying for the majors was its main goal this year, losing a match against Evil Geniuses was the most unfortunate development, and the team's future fate remains uncertain.

EXTREMUM's last roster was assembled in January 2021, bringing together five former members of 100 Thieves. Considering that the team included successful Asian cyber athlete Hansel «BnTeT» Ferdinand, the team looked promising in theory, but never really proved itself. One of her most notable accomplishments was a third place finish at the American RMR tournament – cs_summit 8. This gave the team a chance to qualify for the majors, but then failed to score a single point at IEM Fall. At the time the decision was made to disband the roster, EXTREMUM was ranked #46 in the world rankings.
