American eSports organization Evil Geniuses plans to finalize its roster for the 2022 season by adding Valdemar «valde» Byrne-Wangsu to the roster. According to the news portal 1pv.fr, Evil Geniuses is currently in talks with OG about the Danish cyber athlete's move. According to insider Guillaume «neL» Rathje, negotiations have proved difficult due to the current valde team's desire to maximize their transfer fee. Therefore, it is likely that EG is also considering alternatives at the same time.
It was previously reported that EG changed the team's coach, appointing Damian «maLeK» Marcel, who previously played for G2 Esports, to the position. Only two players remain from the former Evil Geniuses roster – Zwetelin «CeRq»Dimitrov and Vincent «Brehze» Kayonte. Two former Cloud9 players – Jake «Stewie2K» Yip and Timothy «autimatic» Ta should also join the new roster. 1pv.fr sources say that the organization has managed to come to an agreement with these players and they are very likely to join the team.
Valde has been playing for OG since the end of 2019, and according to his contract he was supposed to spend another year with the team. With another OG member, Aleksi «Aleksib» Virolainen, in talks with G2, the OG lineup could also be in for some major changes.
