Dignitas is disbanding its CS:GO roster

Swedish eSports organization Dignitas has announced that it is disbanding its CS: GO roster and has no plans to compete in the discipline «for the foreseeable future». That decision came about a month after it put its players up for transfer, but its officials said at the time that they planned «to assemble a successful roster that would compete for titles».

At the time, Dignitas planned to form a new roster from players who had previously played for the team in the past. However, it appears that the permutations they were considering have failed to materialize. As a result, the organization disbanded not only the players, but also other team personnel.

During its existence, Dignitas has been near the bottom of the top 20 most of the time, regularly making it to significant competitions, but never winning them. In addition, the team failed to qualify for either PGL Major Stockholm or PGL Major Antwerp, essentially failing in RMR tournaments.

Thus, Patrick «f0rest» Lindberg, who played for Dignitas, will be without a team for the first time in his professional career. He recently played for fnatic at the Pinnacle Cup Championship, but it remains to be seen which team he will be partnered with next.
